Kimberlyn Jaggers, MS, CCLS, LPC Associate
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
As your counselor, I will meet you exactly where you are with unconditional compassion to help you navigate life’s trials and challenges. No matter where you are in your relationship with God, I offer a safe space to be heard in all situations. My ultimate goal is to display the love of Christ to each individual who enters the therapy room, no matter their past, their religion, or their trials. Clients will also benefit from my work being supervised by marriage and family therapist Monica Marterella, MS, LMFT-S, LPC-S. With kindness and a nonjudgmental presence, I will work with you to create a treatment plan to help you meet your goals and experience the growth God has planned for you.

My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goals as a counselor are to provide a safe space for people of all ages to explore and process life’s consistent concerns and challenges. I want to be there with you, walking beside you as you discover practical ways to cope with daily challenges and concerns in life. My hope is that through our work together, you would gain a sense of empowerment, encouragement, and hope.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a safe, supportive environment where you can expect unconditional compassion and care as I meet you where you are emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I work to create a space where you will experience comfort and empathy as you process through the hard things in your life. As your counselor, I will collaborate with you to find specific ways to help you cope in challenging situations and move forward on a better path, with God’s help.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
God promises that we will face trials in this life, but He does not abandon us in them (John 16:33). As your counselor, I would be honored to walk beside you in those trials and help you find the path forward toward Christ. My ultimate goal and hope is that through our work together, you will feel God’s love and be reminded of who you are and whose you are.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M. I also have a Master of Science in Family and Child Studies from Texas State University that I gained in order to work as a Certified Child Life Specialist in hospitals where I provided psychosocial support to hospitalized children and their families to help them cope better with the stress of the hospital, diagnosis, or procedures. And finally, I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.
My Call to Christian Counseling
Having worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist for five years, I saw many situations that warranted longer term psychosocial support that I was unable to provide in that professional capacity. Working in the emergency room for most of that time, I saw too many children, adolescents, and young adults who needed follow up or more in-depth support that I could not provide past the walls of the hospital, which led me to determine that I wanted to do more. In addition, God has placed people in my life who have supported, encouraged, and challenged me to think more critically about what my God-given strengths are and how I can best spread Jesus’ love to others in this world.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I love to bake! I recently took some classes to learn French baking, like cream puffs, éclairs, croissants, and pan au chocolat. I also recently got some sourdough starter from a friend and have made sourdough loaves, biscotti, and pancakes all from the same starter! In addition, I love to do jigsaw puzzles, crochet, and play video games.

Counseling for Children
Did you know that children experience life’s trials differently than adults do? Not only do they understand things differently, but they also process them uniquely. No matter what situation your child is experiencing – anxiety, anger, trauma, divorce – we will work together to decipher each challenge in terms they can understand and find a path forward to healthier coping with their current trial as well as others in the future.
Counseling for Teens
Being a teenager is one of the hardest phases of life! Rushing thoughts, anxiety about friends and foes, confusion about who you are . . . every day brings a brand new challenge. Whether you still feel like a child and don’t know what you are doing or you feel like you are already basically an adult and your parents or other adults just don’t get it, I am here for you. It is normal to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and confused in life, but it is especially true as a teen. In this season of life, it can be extremely helpful to have someone outside of your family and friends who can not only listen to what you are going through, but actually hear and understand you. I would be honored to walk alongside you, discovering new strategies and skills for navigating life together.
Spiritual Development
No matter where you are in your faith journey, sometimes we find ourselves in a season of trial, worry, or doubt. My heart is to come alongside you as we work together to strengthen and develop your faith. Whether it looks like exploring your beliefs, discovering Jesus, or reconnecting with our Father, I would be honored to walk with you. Spiritual development doesn’t need to be scary and I hope to bring a sense of safety and wonder to the journey to either discover or rediscover who you are and whose you are.
Grief and Loss
Grief is not something that we completely heal from; rather, it is something that we work to heal enough to carry it with us. There is no formula or correct way to process loss, but I would love nothing more than to support and guide you along the path toward healing. Sometimes this support looks like listening as you verbally process your experience and sometimes it looks like collaborating to create coping plans through everyday reminders of your loss. Whatever it looks like, I will be right there with you to meet you where you are today.
Anxiety
Have you ever found yourself completely unable to function at work because your boss simply asked you to come into their office to talk at the end of the day? Or maybe you find yourself overthinking to the point where you are so paralyzed with anxiety you can’t even get out of bed? If this is you, you are NOT alone! While there is a normal level of anxiety we feel in this world, there is also a level that can keep us from being able to enjoy life. I want to work with you to explore what your anxiety looks like and create plans to manage it realistically. Anxiety is not your identity! Whether you want to focus on daily management of anxiety or you want to realign your biblical view of it, I will meet you there.
